MLTB SINGLE PITCH AWARD ASSESSMENT

This is the National Governing Body Award for single pitch climbing. It is an essential qualification for any outdoor instructor and those with responsibility for group supervision.
It is recommended that you should have been climbing for a minimum of 12 months and have led a number of outdoor routes. You must be 18 years of age, registered with the MLTB and be a member of either the BMC or another Mountaineering Council. You must also have a completed MLTB logbook and completed an SPA training course.
You must hold a current first aid certificate.
The course itself lasts for a 2 days and covers the full SPA syllabus. Accommodation can be arranged, if required.( Cost is exclusive of the course price.)
